Mass Protests Rock Muslim World in Support of Palestine
Mass protests supporting Palestine and condemning the Israeli regime spread across many Muslim-majority countries after Friday prayer.
Rallies were reported in Iran, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Qatar, Iraq, Yemen, Malaysia and other places, in more than one city in some countries.
Jordan
Thousands of Jordanians took to the streets across the country on Friday amid calls to march to the border with the occupied West Bank.
Mass rallies were reported in the capital Amman, as well as Irbid, Aqaba, Kerak and other cities.
The interior ministry on Thursday night said protests marching to the border in the Jordan Valley are banned.
The decision came as many in Jordan continue to call for people to march to the border with the West Bank in solidarity with Palestinians.
Hundreds of people in Jordon also held funeral “prayers in absentia” for slain Palestinians, following congregational Friday prayers.
Egypt
Hundreds of people joined rallies across Egypt in solidarity with Palestine, chanting slogans invoking "Arab armies" to act amid an Israeli onslaught in Gaza.
Protests erupted after Friday prayers in mosques in Cairo and Alexandria, including at the Al-Azhar Mosque, one of the Sunni Muslim world’s most esteemed religious institutions.
In some protests, demonstrators chanted: "We will not leave you Palestine, we are the youth of 25," referring to the 25 January 2011 Egyptian revolution.
Convening at Cairo's Tahrir Square, protestors demanded the opening of the Rafah crossing to allow aid into Gaza.
Tunisia
In Tunisia, judges observed a “national day of rage” against Israeli attacks on Palestinians across all courts.
They also carried out demonstrations in judicial uniforms in front of the Palace of Justice in Tunis and the rest of the headquarters of the Courts of Appeal, according to an Anadolu reporter.
Mauritania
In Mauritania, simultaneous demonstrations were held in front of the embassies of the US, Germany, and France, rejecting the "Israeli aggression" on the Gaza Strip.
Yemen
The capital, Sana’a, and several governorates bore witness to significant public marches and protests on Wednesday expressing anger and condemnation for the dreadful Israeli massacre in Gaza.
In Sana’a participants at the march displayed Palestinian flags and banners in support of the Palestinian people's right to protect their land, honor, Islamic sanctities, and liberate them from the desecration by the Israeli enemy.
The crowd echoed slogans and phrases reiterating unwavering support for the Palestinian people, their courageous resistance, and their readiness to make the ultimate sacrifices to liberate Palestine and Al-Quds.
Malaysia
Over 1,000 people rallied in Malaysia’s capital after Friday prayers, to demand the US take responsibility for enabling Israel’s aggression.
Protesters clad in keffiyeh, the distinctive Palestinian scarf, marched towards the US embassy and briefly scuffled with police.
The Israeli military has killed more than 4,100 Palestinians since the conflict started on 7 October, according to the latest tally.

Death toll in Gaza has hit 4,137, including 1,524+ children, 1,032+ women with more than 13,100 other injured.
The Israeli forces have also killed 81 people, including 23 children and one woman, in the occupied West Bank while injuring at least 1,400 others.
