Takfiri Ideology Incompatible with Islam’s Moderation, Compassion
Speaking to IQNA, Supreme Leader’s senior advisor in Muslim world affairs Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri added that the Takfiris have no accurate understanding of Islam and, thus, have committed big crimes against the Muslim Ummah.
He referred to the involvement of Islam’s enemies in the development of Takfiri groups and said the West and the world arrogance have been pursuing to foment Fitna (sedition) in the Muslim world for centuries.
“They are now supporting and strengthening Takfiri groups because they do not want people in Iraq, Syria and other Muslim countries to live in peace.”
Ayatollah Taskhiri, who previously headed the Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, said creating Fitna is not a tactic of the world arrogance but a strategy aimed at undermining the power of the Islamic Ummah and spreading discord and disunity among Muslims.
The senior cleric noted that Islam’s enemies have always been weary of Islamic unity and are now more fearful of it following the spread of Islamic Awakening in the Muslim world.
He said the hegemonic powers and their cronies equip and support Talfiri and terrorist groups to provoke clashes between Shias and Sunnis in order to deal a blow to Islamic unity.
He urged Muslim world scholars and elites to monitor the hidden agenda of the world arrogance and realize that the enemies’ ultimate goal is to weaken the Muslim world.
Ayatollah Taskhiri said the Muslim world is facing numerous problems one of which is the issue of Takfiris who act in line with the interests of the world arrogance.
He underlined that the plots and conspiracies of the hegemonic powers and the attempts made by Takfiris could not stop the growth of Islamic Awakening and that Muslim unity will foil all these attempts and plots.
