TEHRAN (IQNA) – The representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs called on members of the Noor (light) convoy who will be dispatched for Hajj to make the most of the spiritual journey.

Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab addresses members of Noor Convoy via video-conference

Speaking to them via video-conference to Wednesday, Hojat-ol-Islam Seyed Abdol Fattah Navab said that the qaris should make the most of every second of the trip.

Being a Quran reciter should not prevent the qaris from serving the Hajj pilgrims, he stated.

“The pilgrims are guests of God and we are their servants,” the cleric added.

Hojat-ol-Islam Navab also urged the qaris to be punctual in going to Quran recitation sessions and pay more attention to choosing the verses for recitation.

The Committee for Inviting and Dispatching Quran Reciters named the members of Iran’s Noor Quranic Convoy on May 15.

Comprising selected Quran reciters, memorizers and Tawasheeh groups, the convoy is sent to Saudi Arabia during Hajj annually to perform Quranic programs in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

Every year millions of Muslims from around the world gather in the Mecca for the annual Hajj.

This year, foreign pilgrims will attend Hajj for the first time after two years, after they were barred from traveling to Saudi Arabia due to the coronavirus outbreak.
