TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Iranian Cultural Center in Islamabad, Pakistan, plans to organize a webinar titled “Quds; Axis of Unity among Muslims” on the occasion of the International Quds Day.

The online program will be held on May 5 in cooperation with the Ummah Wahidah Institute and Pakistan’s Society of Scholars.

Clarification of the Zionist Regime’s plots in occupation of Palestine and the views of Imam Khomeini and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in this respect are the main themes of the program.

It will be attended by Seyed Ali Hosseini, the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, as well as academic figures, Shia and Sunni scholars, presidents of Islamic seminaries, leaders of different parties and political and cultural figures.

“Today We Are Closer to Al-Quds Than Ever” has been selected as the motto of this year’s International Quds (Jerusalem) Day.

The International Quds Day is a legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, who designated the day in solidarity with Palestinians.

Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the International Quds Day has been held worldwide on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

This year, the International Quds Day falls on Friday, May 7.
