Rally Held in Bahrain on Anniversary of Resistance Commanders’ Martyrdom (+Video)

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A rally was held Tuesday night in Bahrain marking the martyrdom anniversary of Islamic resistance commanders Lt. General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

The Bahraini activists taking part in the rally carried banners and photos of the two commanders.

They called for those behind the assassination of General Soleimani and al-Muhandis to be brought to justice.

They also chanted slogans vowing to continue the path of the martyrs in defending Palestine.

Lieutenant General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and his Iraqi trenchmate al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Units, were assassinated along with their companions in a US terror drone strike authorized by Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

Both commanders were admired by Muslim nations for their role in eliminating the US-sponsored Daesh Takfiri terrorist group in the region, particularly in Iraq and Syria.
