90 Artworks on Display at Arts Section of Tehran Int’l Quran Expo

IQNA – Ninety selected works of art are on show at the arts section of Tehran’s 31st Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition.

Quranic arts on display at Tehran International Quran Expo

 

Seyed Mostafa Zaravandian, head of the section, hailed the good reception of the visual arts pavilion of the section.

He said more than 1,500 artworks were submitted to the secretariat of the exhibition.

A panel of expert selected 90 of them to be displayed at the pavilion, he stated.

The section also features works and programs in other fields such as cinema and theater, Zaravandian noted.

He stressed that the language of art is the most effective means to promote the Quranic culture and concepts.

The 31st edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition was launched at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) on Wednesday, March 20.   

The Tehran International Quran Exhibition is annually organized by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in the holy month of Ramadan.

The exhibition is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.
