‘Cosmological Horizons of Quran’ Int’l Conference Planned in UAE

IQNA – An international conference on the Holy Quran and the cosmological horizons is scheduled to kick off in the United Arab Emirates this weekend.

A number of scholars, thinkers and Quranic sciences experts from different countries will take part in the two-day event.

It will be organized by the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE).

According to Head of the GAIAE Omar Habtoor al-Derei, highlighting the influence of the Holy Quran on human values and civilizational progress is the aim of the international event.

He said the conference will work to draft intellectual frameworks for interpreting the cosmic verses of the Quran through scholarly and cultural lenses.

It will explore contemporary ethical frameworks guided by the Holy Quran, as well as approaches to counteract extremist misuse of the text and the ethical dimensions of Quranic interpretation, he stated, WAM reported.

The conference will culminate with strategic recommendations and insights for shaping future engagement with emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), to ensure that they align with and enhance the teachings of the Holy Quran, al-Derei went on to say.
