Official Stresses Quran’s Pivotal Role in ICRO’s Activities
Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Mehdi Imanipour made the remark in a preliminary session of the first international festival of Islamic civilization, one of whose co-organizers is ICRO.
He added that while a lot of attention was paid to the Quranic approach at ICRO previously, the Quran has now been given a pivotal role at the organization.
The Quranic approach is the best approach to the promotion of Islam, he underlined.
The cleric further said the spread of the Islamic style of life will help the formation of a new Islamic civilization, adding that the issue of safeguarding family, as the most important social institution should be taken seriously.

He said the main goal of the upcoming international festival of Islamic civilization is identifying capacities for creating networks and enhancing cooperation among Muslim countries.
The festival will have three main sections featuring civilization studies, education in the field of civilization, and civilizational arts, he noted.
Hojat-ol-Islam Imanipour added that the Islamic Revolution of Iran, whose essence is the teachings of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) has been after civilization making.
In Islamic thought, the issue of Islamic civilization is not a new idea but it has been there for a long time, he stated.
The discourse of Islamic civilization is part of this civilization that stands against oppression, arrogance and incompetent world order, the cleric went on to say.

The civilization we are after is one that benefits from Islamic teachings to create a global civilization, he said, adding that Islam is a religion that is best for benefiting from a spirituality-based civilization.
The first international festival of Islamic civilization will be jointly organized by ICRO, Al-Mustafa International University, the Artistic Sect of the Islamic Development Organization and the Islamic Sciences and Culture Academy.
