Quranic Circles Planned for Iraqi Tribes

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar-ol-Quran of the Astan (custodianship) of Imam Hussein (AS) holy shrine held the first session of a series of Quranic circles planned for Iraqi tribes.

 

According to the website of the Astan, Rasul Al-Wazni, the circles are held for tribal Diwans or Mazyaf, a place for the gatherings of Iraqi tribes where they make important decisions.

Head of the Quranic circles center of the Astan said that the Quranic program has been planned taking into account the influence and important role of the Diwans in disseminating the Quranic culture among Iraqi people.

He added that the first session of the series was held at ‘Seyyed Muhammad Amid Al-Sadah Al Alka’ Diwan in the holy city of Karbala and was received well by a large number of people and Quranic figures.
