Speaking to IQNA, he said he has been practicing to improve his Quranic skills and best represent the Islamic Republic in the international Quranic event.
Dehqan, who is from the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi, noted that Quran expert Seyed Javad Sadat Fatemi will accompany him in the competition as a guide.
He said he is going to Malaysia with the determination to win the top prize.
Hamed Alizadeh from Iran ranked first in the 59th edition of the Malaysia international Quran competition in 2017.
Also, two years earlier, Iranian Qari Mohsen Hajihassni Kargar came first in the competition.
