‘Quran Teaching Methods’ Workshop Planned in Senegal

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An educational workshop on how to improve the methods of teaching Quran reading and memorization as well as the direction of Quranic schools in Senegal will be held from April 23 to 25 in Dakar, the capital.

According to IINA, Senegal’s National Union of Quranic Schools Association will hold the workshop in cooperation with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).

30 Quran teachers and directors of Quranic schools in different parts of Senegal will participate at the program.

The main objective of the workshop is to activate the educational and social role and status of Quran memorizers, promote the use of modern technologies in Quran teaching, and promote the level of Quranic institutes’ activities in the evaluation and exchange of successful experiences in Quranic fields.

The participants will also discuss the concept of moderation in Quran memorizers’ lives through the training of experts in Islamic education and  learning the necessary skills to cooperate in the development of the society.
