Addressing an international conference on Islamic unity in Tehran, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki underlined the need for efforts in the Muslim world for enhancing unity and convergence.
He said the conference is aimed at coming up with a practical strategy for unifying activists in the field of Islamic unity.
He also noted that another aim of the conference is making establishment of new Islamic proximity institutions in the Muslim world purposeful.
Organized on the 27th anniversary of the establishment of the WFPIST, the conference began at Azadi Hotel in Tehran on Wednesday morning.
