IQRA Quran Contest Planned in Bahrain with 61 Contenders

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of the IQRA Quran competition in Bahrain will kick off in the Arab country on Saturday.

 

It will be held on memorization of the Holy Quran with the participation of 61 contenders, according to akhbaralhaleej.com.

They include Bahraini citizens as well as nationals of several other countries residing in Bahrain.

This year, women are also attending the competition for the first time.

The Serving the Quran Society organizes the competition annually.

Is’haq Kuhji, an official with the society, said all the preparations have been made for holding the Quranic event.

According to Kuhji, the Fatih Islamic Center will be hosting the men’s contest and the women’s section will be held in Quzaybiya district east of Manama.

The competition is aimed at promoting Quranic activities in the Bahraini society.
